The entire stay was very amazing. Your house and its location were extraordinary. We enjoyed the time in Las Alturas so much, that we are looking for a property to buy in Monte Los Almendros too. If you are going to sell please let us know, altough the perfect location on the top of the hill might be maybe to epensive for us... The house was very clean. Gill looks for it very carefully. The kitchen is very good equipped and modern. The garden very nice. You have a good taste. All the best and many greetings from a cold and very rainy Warsaw.

The villa is gorgeous and beautifully appointed and equipped and there was nothing more we could want. It was lovely to be in a proper home with all the comforts. The kitchen especially had everything and more you could possibly ask for. The pool is fantastic and the various seating areas around the villa either in sun or shade were used a lot at different times of the day. We used the internet access and DVDs as we had teenagers with us! The view is spectacular and the temperature up high was more bearable than where my sister lives in the old part of Salobrena.
We all felt that we wanted to take the villa home and if not the whole then I wanted the kitchen and pool!!
Thanks to Gill and her family for looking after us and your villa so well. We all want to return to Spain next year so may be booking Las Alturas again.

Really liked what you have done with the villa, the new kitchen with access down to the pool area is great with kids, and is exactly what we thought you should do after our first visit. New bathrooms are great also. Don't really know how you could make it better.

I have to say we found the villa superbly easy to keep spick and span. It is such a wonderfully new, clean and lovely environment that you would have to be fairly foul to leave it anything other than how you found it! Thankyou so much for the use of your lovely home. We thoroughly enjoyed our very relaxing holiday and found the various cool shady areas around the house a godsend as we are a bit fair skinned and pathetic in 32 degree heat. It has been a pleasure doing business with you and Gill was so helpful it made our lives very easy. Perfect!

We had such a wonderful week at the villa. The highlights for us included the immaculate condition of the villa which really made it feel comfortable and relaxing, the fantastic bar-be-que, the great selection of DVDs for the children when they woke up a little too early and brilliantly equipped kitchen. As always, the Monte did not fail in providing a stunning and tranquil place to be, with the garden and terrace adding to the ambience of it all. To conclude, thank you for what turned out to be our best holiday in years...and Las Alturas played an important role in that.

We had a perfect holiday in Salobrena and the villa was just amazing, with incredible views: snow-capped mountains in one direction and Salobrena in the other. We have three children (11, 9 and 5) so had the pool heated to 28 degrees, which meant whatever the outside temperature they spent hours in it. It was hard to leave the luxury of the villa (and on the really sunny days we didn't) but we loved exploring this area of Spain and visited: Granada, Motril, (a lovely little town with good shops and a great park), Frigiliana (cheap tapas), Nerja, Almunecar and Salobrena itself. We had to spend an extra week in the villa, due to the Icelandic volcano, which just made it even harder getting back to reality! Mike, the owner and Gill, who manages the property, went out of their way to make sure we were ok. We didn't really go to many restaurants as we enjoyed having a barbecue in the day or chilling out with some home-made tapas and a bottle of Rioja once we'd got the kids to bed! The villa has everything you need (next time we won't pack any games, books or dvds) and we went home completely relaxed. We are already looking at when we can return!

We had a fabulous time and we're all really missing the villa, the view, the pool and the weather....all of which were fantastic! In terms of Likes - we all thought your villa was absolutely gorgeous. Couldn't fault a thing. We asked the children what their highlight was and they both said playing in the pool and watching the DVDs. My highlight was definitely having breakfast on the terrace taking in the beautiful view in the sun. It definitely got us thinking about getting our own get away and we loved the area. In terms of dislikes.......I honestly can't think of any. We loved every minute of our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed another week at Las Alturas, and we thought the changes to the villa were fantastic. The kitchen is fantastic and it is great to be able to step out to the pool through the new doors. The 2 new bathrooms were great and the 2 new showers were enjoyed by everyone. Can’t think of any dislikes – we wouldn’t keep coming back if there were any !

The holiday we take in September is just a complete chillout. We enjoy our own space and your villa gave us just that. A private garden, sunshine and your own pool - just perfect. The evening starts with a G&T (or two) on the terrace taking in the great views and enjoying the temperature. Malcolm loves to buy the local food and wine and he really wants a BBQ exactly the same as yours. He's taken photos to help him find it on the internet (unless you can help)*. We always choose a villa with a stunning view and yours certainly lived up to expectations - with so much to see throughout the day right across to the sea and all the lights from the town in the evening. The mountain views, sunrise and sunset, are wonderful and its great to see the goats as they pass by the Mediterranean garden. Not forgetting to mention: The new kitchen - so high tech - everything perfect and also the showers - excellent, so exhilarating.
* Malcolm can dream about the BBQ - I want the villa.

We've had another wonderful stay at Las Alturas. If at all possible, I think we did even less than last time! The kitchen and bathrooms are excellent. I'm not a shower person, really, but the new shower is powerful and roomy enough to enjoy a good "session". Everything in the kitchen is very thoughtfully arranged. For us the fridge-freezer was the greatest improvement. You did a great job with all the refurbishment so congratulations for that. Oh yes, since we were cooking on the BBQ all the time, the stairs from the kitchen were a huge bonus. The weather was even better than last year - less windy so our lazy trips to the beach were great.

We have had a really great holiday at Las Alturas, very relaxing with excellent weather and time for plenty of reading and swimming. We didn't intend to do a lot of touring around but managed two trips to Granada which were very enjoyable. The house is superb and has great facilities for unwinding and we would happily recommend it to friends. That first view from the lounge, even though it was late evening when we arrived, was breathtaking with the lights of the beach resorts and the Castle below. We really enjoyed the house and the new bathrooms and kitchen were spectacular and a wise investment.

We spent a fantastic two weeks staying in this villa. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly fitted to a high specification and the villa was well equipped and spotless. The views to the Mediterranean are stunning, with the mountains to the side and back. Our children aged 12 and 15 were very grateful for the WiFi connection meaning that they could keep in touch with friends in England. The WiFi worked brilliantly without any interruptions. We also enjoyed free membership of the sports club with use of the tennis court. Gillian, the property manager was very helpful and efficient with good advice on everything from shopping to restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to go again in the near future.

We stayed at Las Alturas at the end of May and as I'm a bit wimpy and we have small children, we asked for the pool to be heated. Having stayed on this stretch of coast before, many of the villas don't have heating so this was great and proved cost-effective. The villa itself was spotless and thoughtfully decorated and equipped, but something you couldn't put a price on was the views. On one side, the mountains and the other the ocean with several of the rooms having a dual view. Salobrena is a few minutes drive and had everything you need from fresh fish market and great panaderias to large supermarkets, so you get the seclusion of the villa with the convenience of local amenities (car is essential unless you enjoy 300m vertical climbs)! The owners were well-prepared for children and babies with cot and bedding/highchair etc, although the wide staircase inside and out was a fascination for my very busy toddler so we had to keep our eye on him! I cannot recomment this villa enough and the communication from the owner and managing agent in Spain was friendly, professional and extremely prompt from start to finish. Las Alturas is a real find and I can't wait to go back. My 4 year old says he dreams of it being our house every night!

The stay in Las Alturas was fantastic. Even more as we had great weather and a lot of flowers were in full bloom. We found the right mixture between relaxing and doing things and Gill and her "team" did a great job of taking care of us. The house is really very well equipped and has a lot of stuff you do not find every day, like the books and DVD's. Our little one finally learned swimming in your pool. Definitely another thing to remember. Thanks very much for letting us use your home away from home!

We have just returned from a lovely family holiday at Las Alturas, which exceeded my expectations. The villa has recently been re-fitted with a new kitchen and bathrooms and is superb. The kitchen has every convenience and is extremely large for Spain. I especially liked the marble worktops, and every utensil we could possibly need. The pool is a good size and is very secluded, with plenty of space to sit in the sun or shade. The gardens are very well tended, all round, with views in every direction, including the Sierra Nevada, complete with a passing goat herd in the distance. Las Alturas is in an ideal spot for visiting the mountains and we would recommend visiting the villages of the Alpujarras, and the fantastic Alhambra at Granada, which is a must see. When visiting the Alhambra, be sure to walk up to the viewing point of the Albaicin area to see the Alhambra with the snow capped mountains behind. Note that the motorway is now open all the way to Granada which takes about 45 minutes from Salobrena. As a family with teenagers we really appreciated spending a relaxing time around the pool, having a barbeque and then relaxing in the evening watching a dvd from the vast collection, but also having the option to go further afield.

We all loved the area and thought the villa was fantastic. The beds were comfortable, and all the rooms were furnished with the highest quality materials. The view of the coast took some taking in. I don't think we ever got used to it. Quite superb. The April air in Andalusia is filled with the scents of wysteria, oranges and lemons - a great time to go. The garden has wysteria, lemons, kumquats, cacti and two impressive palm trees. The pool was a big success, nice and warm, though we didn't linger on the sides very often because it was chilly in the shade at this time of year. Recommended places to visit: the caves of Nerja, the Alpujarras villages, the Alhambra in Granada, the Arab fort in Salobrena and the beaches at Almunecar. An English couple who live locally look after your every need, but only when you need them. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our week and found the villa very comfortable and had a good 'feel'. The things we really liked were: the sitting dining room area, good log burner, the sitting out area and the pool being real sheltered sun traps (we used the pool quite a lot despite the air temp not being much more than 15c), the garden overall, the fact the villa is at the top of the development giving a sense of space and view and not being overlooked, and the fact that the villa is well equipped with everyday consumables as well as things like your dvd collection. We also really enjoyed the sunny, warm but quite crisp weather and access to the snowy mountains at the same time (no mud for a whole week). Overall a great success.

We had a great time at your wonderful villa and thoroughly enjoyed it!! The renovations sound exciting and will make what is already a fabulous villa even better! We had a great time and everything was perfect. The heated pool and the view were certainly the main 'likes'....Can't think of any dislikes at all.

The Villa was in a class of its own we really enjoyed the two weeks and it was exactly what I was looking for when I checked the net for a quiet holiday in Spain. You are very lucky to own such a beautiful place . Everything in the Villa was perfect to such an extent that I found myself early in the morning happy to sweep the paths and clean the pool in order to keep it that way. I would find it very hard to fault anything about the place it was just perfect. The Town itself was very quiet at night but that was the time of year. We done a nice bit of travelling but still did not see half of what I thought I would get to because we were just content to stay at the Villa. Thanks again Mike for everything we could not have asked for better.

We had a fabulous time in your villa, we have never stayed in a place so well equipped! The pool was excellent (thanks for the quick repair of the heater) and the views stunning! The DVDs and TV came in handy too when the rain arrived - luckily only for one day though! We made good use of the BBQ and ate on the terrace nearly every night. Overall it was a great holiday!

We had a tremendous week of total peace and relaxation. It is very rare to find a holiday place where there is no noisy traffic, and hardly any noticable tourists and yet be so near the sea and other attractions. Your villa had everything we needed and more - we are not ashamed to say that, apart from visiting The Alhambra, we did not go anywhere - a real first for us an a real proof how much we enjoyed just staying put. Gill, as I'm sure you know, is an excellent Managing Agent and offers a reassuring presence when needed. All the instructions and recommendations were so thoughtfully compiled that we did not have to search for anything. I honestly cannot think of any dislikes - you have chosen an excellent location, a superb villa and ensured that your visitors have a very comfortable stay. We would very much like to return next year (another first for us!).

We had a lovely holiday thank you and thought the villa itself was lovely. The location was excellent and that breeze from being up in the mountains was a god send! We can't fault anything else and just felt at home as soon as we arrived! You can't say fairer than that, can you!!! Thank you again for everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We thought the garden was absolutely gorgeous. Gill was great and helped out when we were there which is always such a good sign.

Had a great holiday, a totally relaxing 2 weeks. Hardly left the villa except for a visit to the caves at Nerja, which were spectacular, and cool during the heat of the day. Kids loved the pool, and were in most days before breakfast. We all enjoyed the range of film and music videos. Las Alturas had all the things we needed, and we felt at home right away. Hard to know how things could have been better, as the Las Alturas was everything we had hoped for, and it was 30 degrees in the shade everyday. Gill was a great help, and sorted the problem with the pool pump in double quick time. It was a comfort having someone nearby we could call on and she even sorted the kids ear aches. Too much fun in the pool I think!

Well we are back but I would be telling a lie if I said we are happy about it. The week was all too short and your villa was exactly as you described. Not a single disappointment. Gill looked after us very well, lovely lady. Many thanks for allowing to visit your home and discover a little bit of uncommercialised bliss.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at your wonderful villa. It was amazing to be able to wake up each morning and admire the wonderful view of Salobrena and the coast. It was lovely to be able to relax by the pool in privacy and the welcoming lack of noise. Overall, the villa and location exceeded our expectations and we hope to return in the future.

Sure wish I was reading a book with a glass of wine looking at the view of Salobrena!! We loved the villa and it was so well equipped – you’ve thought of everything! We had a fantastic time in your villa - what a brilliant spot you've got there on top of the hill! We were very lazy - mostly just lazed in or around the pool and popped down into the town for the odd cup of coffee and a stroll - we all came back refreshed and ready to go back to work! I was really impressed by how well equipped your villa is - there really was everything we could need. We kept warm at night with all the radiators that you provided. We found Gill really friendly and helpful - although we didn't need any help it was good to know who to call on. I've now got lots of photos of plants from your garden set as my screensaver at work to remind me of last week!

Regarding your villa it is absolutely stunning in every way. The views are spectacular, the planting of the garden is beautiful, and the inside is extremely well equipped, and comfortable. It is also a very calm place to be, and wonderfully quiet. The view of the sunrise on waking was wonderful, the sun traps - breakfast, lunch - found us in temperatures within the twenties which was very therapeutic, and even on the windy and rainy day it was lovely to sit with the lamps on and the fire going. We had a very relaxing and very happy holiday there, so thank you.

We had a terrific time - thank you so much for the loan of your great villa - it must have been quite a find for you when you were looking for a villa. You also have a splendid DVD collection - it always took quite a long time to choose as there was so much choice! Do have a look at the visitors book - we even managed some skiing on our week of R&R.

We enjoyed our stay very much at Las Alturas, brilliant views over the sea and Salobrena plain below. We spent ages just watching boats, helicopters and lines of cars go by below us plus the dolphins in the bay were a bonus. We enjoyed the area so much that we did a rash thing and started negotiations on a villa on the Monte!! Las Alturas is in such a peaceful location it was the perfect place to come back to each day.

We're back from Salobreña having spent a wonderful week there. The villa lived up to our expectations in every way - the children loved the pool, we adored the views and the garden. The weather was sunny and warm, just what we needed, and we also loved the town of Salobreña, and were so glad that we had chosen there rather than one of the other resorts along the coast. I have nothing to suggest to make the villa better - for us it was just perfect. Thank you for having made the booking such a smooth process and for having provided us with all of that useful information before we got there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought the villa was great (the views were stunning!). The villa was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The children loved the pool and we thought the cost for heating it for the week was very reasonable. Gill was also very helpful and showed us around a couple of villas that were for sale. We will never forget that first evening looking at all the lights glistening in the distance and listening to the crickets!!

We loved the villa! It was the last week of our 3 week vacation, so we really enjoyed the downtime and slowness. We went to the Salobrena castle, and Alhambra...and that's about it. Went to the beach 2x, and climbed the big rock another day. I really wanted to see the Picasso museum in Malaga, but the kids weren't so excited for more museums when there was a pool in the backyard! They went swimming every day, and the gardener turned on the heat after a few days which was nice. The house was perfect for us. My oldest girl was enthralled by the flowers - especially the 'Bird of Paradise'. We spent 3 days in Madrid first, and loved it...want to return again without the kids someday. Thanks again for the use of the villa - we have memories to last a lifetime (and a dream of returning again some day..).

Well what can I say about the villa except that it met all our expectations and more besides!! The accommodation was lovely and of a very high standard and the gardens beautiful. My mother loved picking fresh lemons and took dozens of pictures of the flowers. Gill was lovely and very helpful. The whole area was great. I havent been to Spain for 30 years and the last time I went was to Magaluf!! Says it all doesnt it? There very few places I feel I can recommend to friends and family and know they with confidence they will enjoy every minute but I have told loads of people about your villa and the area so dont be surprised if anyone gets in touch with you. Once again - many thanks for the use of Las Alturas - a wonderfully relaxing two weeks was had by all.

We had a fabulous time at your villa and really appreciated the little extras that you provide - the photos on the internet are good but in real life the villa was even better than we had anticipated- my daughter couldn't believe how high up we were!! The views are fantastic and we spent many hours on the terrace looking at the view - the binoculars came in very handy!! We loved everything about the villa and the gardens and spent a few days just lazing by the pool only venturing out a night to go out to eat - the restaurants were great especially La Bahia and El Postigo; (up on the hill - think that's it's name). The town itself is wonderful and I really liked the fact that it was so Spanish - those evening classes certainly came in handy!! We did various day trips to the Alhambra (one of the most beautiful places I've ever been) and the Alpujarrahs (loved the little villages) and have really fallen in love with the whole area. We would like to return one day - perhaps when it's a little cooler to do some walking in the mountains and would also like to know what the skiing is like.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday which finished far too quickly! The villa was perfect for our type of holiday for relaxation and privacy. We would certainly come back again and are recommending the villa to all who will listen to how great our holiday was. Gill gave us a nice welcome after our delayed start and it was very easy to settle quickly into the routine of doing nothing.

We all thought the house was fantastic – better than our expectations. We have never had a private pool before and it has really spoilt us. The view is just out of this world; I don’t imagine that you could ever get bored of it. The car seat we had been give by the car hire company was really scrappy, so we were delighted when the equipment you provided for the baby was of such good quality. The highchair was very comfortable and was ideal as it reclined.
The teenagers were astounded by the DVD collection; however, they didn’t watch any of them, as we passed the evenings playing cards on the terrace whilst watching the sun go down.
Gill and her husband were delightful. We really appreciated having the water, beer, coffee etc there when we arrived.

We enjoyed our holiday at Las Alturas immensely. The position was perfect with respect to the all important sun, the development and the villa were extremely attractive and tasteful and it was very peaceful. It must be the best equipped villa we have ever stayed in.

Thoroughly enjoyed the house and thankfully you had put so much effort into supplying play stations and DVDs etc as the weather unfortunately was very poor. We all commented on not only how well equipped the house was but also how comfortable you felt living in it, unlike some of the other villas we have tried.

We had a really lovely holiday in your villa and the views were really lovely. On a couple of days there was a sea mist over the town of Salobrena but it was actually well below us so we were still able to fully enjoy the sun. We all really enjoyed the pool, especially the kids (that includes my dad who had great fun with the water guns that were there!). There was everything in the villa that we could want, it was our first time of going in a villa and it was excellent, so much more relaxing and it was so quiet and peaceful.
Gill, your managing agent, and her husband were really helpful, they told us of some excellent restaurants and some lovely beaches. Gill had already advised us before hand about getting our tickets to the Alhambra, which was a great day out. All in all we had a fantastic time and the villa was wonderful, we hope to visit it again in the future.

We had an excellent time. We went to see Alhambra and the new dam on the road to Granada, that was it the rest of the time we spent in Las Alturas! It was a fantastic holiday and the three weeks flew by. The setting is beautiful and you are very lucky to have a home in such a location.

We had a wonderful couple of weeks at "Las Alturas" to be honest we hardly left the house as we found it had everything we needed. The views were stunning and we spent most evenings wining and dining ourselves outside soaking it all up. The things we found most useful were the pool (we love swimming and it was a perfect temperature to take a dip at any time of the day - we even managed a dip before we left at 7 a.m!), the barbeque was used frequently and we loved the way it could be easily cleaned up afterwards; Your DVD collection was also pretty impressive and we enjoyed watching a couple of films that we missed first time round. So although we didn't do much sightseeing at all we enjoyed the break by relaxing and chilling out together which was the perfect 25 year anniversary present to ourselves. - Thank you.

We had such a wonderful time at Las Alturas! Everything was terrific. We have rented apartments and houses in several different European cities over the past five years and your villa was by far the most comfortable. We hope to return there in the not too distant future. We probably won't be able to get back to Las Alturas next summer but hopefully the year after. The grounds are beautiful and made relaxing on the patio and around the pool that much more enjoyable. Thanks again for everything!

We had a lovely holiday at your spectacular villa - as expected the standard of presentation was excellent and we couldn't fault anything. We never tired of the views and spent virtually every night just gazing out over Salobrena with a glass of wine or two in hand.

We had a marvellous holiday and felt very grateful for all the 'extras' which allowed us all to relax (very tricky balance for a family with young kids!) We particularly appreciated the British TV and PS2 which kept the kids very happy, the heated pool and the flowers - and the view from the back , the privacy, the undeveloped nature of the area, the unobtrusive but efficient agent service, I could go on. We have never done a holiday like this before and we would certainly like to do it again. The website doesn't do justice to the villa! It was superb.

I can only repeat what we said in the visitors book. A splendid location, and extremely comfortable and well set up villa, and what a magnificent log-burner. The weather was such that it really was appreciated and I haven't enjoyed myself so much since we gave up our own log-burner when we last moved house. You have a most efficient and helpful manager out there in Gill. Would that all villa owners provided the same service. The villa was spotless when we went in.

We enjoyed our stay in your very nice house. The view from the terrace is truly fabulous and the children really enjoyed the movies and the playstation. Not to mention the pool, of course. The kitchen was really well equipped and everything was what we expected.

The details on your website are what sold it to me in the first place, however, when we arrived we just went wow, and the following seven days were a joy. So pleased with the villa. The Monte, quiet and peaceful and the view so much to see and ever changing. The villa beautifully furnished and spotless, the kitchen so well equipped you could prepare a banquet. Our favourite place was the area adjacent to the lounge we enjoyed many meals there watching the world go by.

We had a really wonderful time and thought that Las Alturas was perfect, really fabulous and liked everything about it. Definitely a 5 star rating! I especially loved the amount of space in the villa, the terraces, the privacy, and the pool. It far exceeded our expectations, and would be just what I would choose if I could afford it! We also liked the fact that you have thought of everything to make visitors at home, hairdryers, the barbecue, playstation etc to keep the children amused as well.

How can I thank you enough for the chance we had to spend two wonderful weeks in such splendid surroundings? Really, everything was perfect! The house is beautiful and nothing is missing for our comfort. In all aspects, what we found there surpassed our expectations. You are fortunate people to own such lovely place and most generous to let others benefit of it. In fact, I am very tempted to abuse of this generosity again and again!!

YOUR VILLA WAS WONDERFULL AND WE COULD FIND NO FAULT WITH ANYTHING JUST THAT IT WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH MAYBE NEXT TIME WE COULD STAY LONGER.

Your welcoming arrangements (ie. wine, breakfast cereal, milk and orange juice) were very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. I’m afraid we don’t have any dislikes to report. I’m pleased to hear we didn’t do anything to compromise our future welcome as we would like to come back again someday. We thought the house was lovely and a perfect base for enjoying the coast, the Alpujarras and Granada.

We did have a fantastic time at Las Alturas. The location was everything that we had hoped for - what fantastic views, and we did get a couple of days in skiing. It is a marvellous pitch, with being so high up and also at the end of the cul-de-sac meant no passing traffic so total privacy.
